In this context, the recent judgement of Supreme Court is nothing but desruptive. It is a well known fact that the poaching is very low in the areas where the tourists, guides alongwith the forest officials keep the track of Tigers. Whereas an entire Tiger population was wiped out in a National Park where tourists were not allowed.

The maximum growth of population is seen in the Park like Tadoba & Karandla which are full of tourists, which have roads inside &the people travel on cars & buses as a regular commute.

Close the activity inside the forest, & the growth of Tiger population is going to come down. The decision of supreme court in this matter is highly inappropriate & will be speed breaker for the very intent the court was trying to address.
